It has been a Tiring 2013. With Abang and his school work, work stress and Maid 'dramas', I feel as if life was tiring and the routine was the same over and over again like a wheel turning, and there is no end to the routine. Some days are happy, yet some are emotional. The trip to Batam for SPA treatment was the first for me. I wanted to get away for awhile, since my old maid has returned to work for me and can handle the kids. My mum also volunteer to have the kids at her place while I go off for a 2day 1night getaway. Hubby was understanding of this trip. HOTEL I stayed in THE HILLS,Batam hotel which was a crummy 3 star hotel, at SGD$60 a room per night. Booked from Agoda.com Shared the room with my sister in law so I only paid about only SGD$30 for the night stay. Nothing fantastic but we only used the room for sleeping, so it was all right. Don't expect anything fancy. Bathroom was worn down, but usable. The TV had loads of cable channel. Nothing creepy about this hotel…
I think the pictures describe it all. Reasonly, we visited Krabi for our June holidays annual trip... It was our first visit to Krabi and we were all so thrilled when the day came for us to fly on Thai Airways...
It was the kids first real plane ride too and before the trip we have been watching lots of YouTUBE videos of Krabi.
My take on Krabi:
I love Krabi to the millions and Insya'Allah me and my dear family will visit this island again.
We are Island fanatics. Partly because dear Hubby is a certified diver. He scuba dives. During the Krabi trip, I realised my kids loves the sea water. The way Abang and Adik play at the beach and sea even when the waves were high was really wonderful. Kids!
This trip is memorable in a way that we didnt do our research, and went during the Monsoon season!! So the waters were choppy with High waves of more than 3 metres! and it was really dangerous going on speed boat rides on the Andaman Sea.
Word of advise: DO NOT VISIT KRABI IN the month of JUNE/…
Last week, for the first time in our parenting life, we
left our 2 small kids in the care of our helper and moms, to go on a romantic
"Hill-Top Resort" 4 days vacation. Some Parents may have done this regularly; some may never
want to do it. For us, it was a 50/50 thing. I needed a break, but was sad to
leave the kids. My hubby on the other hand, wanted to spend some exclusive time
with me and was certain, time away from the kids would do all of us good. Well, we set off after speaking to the helper who was all
the more willing to let us have our alone time. Surprisingly, Adik did not cry. She only asked
me cheekily if she could tag along and I explained to her again that Ummi and
Abah are on a Honeymoon so NO kids allowed. The city of Bandung This city in West of Java strikes me off as Singapore 30
years back.It looked alot like the
streets of Malaysia too. Airport check out was a breeze and we met our
driver. We got this driver contact through a
friend from Sukabumi who loan…
